All in the Family thank you card

Here's a thank you card that I made for some friends that took care of our dog while we were away on vacation. We have a dog that happens to be very needy and not friendly with other dogs. We found out the hard way that we shouldn't leave her in a kennel, as we did that once just for the weekend, and the poor thing was just shaking so much when we got her back. She just can't handle all the barking. Ever since that day we always try to find someone to stay at our house (and they must spend the night here, or she'll poop everywhere!). This time we couldn't find anyone, and luckily some friends agreed to take her to their house (and they have a dog, which was challenging at first, but after fighting once they figured out some sort of understanding).
I love the All in the Family set, but it can be challenging when trying to stamp three people in a card. The stamp-a-ma-jig is a must with this set! The flowers used are from the retired pretties kit, and I just pressed them directly onto the ink pads. The same thing can be done with the paper daisies found in the current catalog. They are on my wish list. :)

Swaps received

I forgot that I had a blog! LOL! Life has been just incredibly busy around here! I haven't worked on new things for a while, but I do have pictures from the swaps that I received back a long time ago... I know that some of the stamp sets used are gone, since they were from the Sale-a-bration and Occasions Mini catalogs, but I hope that you might still be able to case some of them. Thanks for vising, and have a great day!

Valentine's day treats

I know that Valentine's day was a few weeks ago, but I wanted to share what I made for my kids' teachers and classmates.

I LOVED making these nugget bags. I cased the idea from Heidi and they were just so cute. I used the designer series paper from last year's sale-a-bration and melon mambo and regal rose cardstock.

For the kids I created a wrapper to go around some organic lollipops. I stamped the heart from the stamp set I {heart} Hearts on Whisper White cardstock with Real Red ink, then punched the image using the full heart punch.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Swap card

Here's the card that I made for the swap. I used the Create a Cupcake stamp set and the cupcake punch that are available in the Occasions Mini catalog. One thing I like about clear mount stamps is that you can mount more than one stamp to the block. On the card above I mounted both cupcake liners and the birthday sentiment to my block at the same time. That allowed me to make 30 cards lined up the same way (and also in less time than if I had to stamp everything individually). I also used the Color Coach to come up with the color combination. I LOVE the Color Coach! It's a must have tool for anyone who has trouble matching colors (that would be me!).

Supplies:
Stamp set: Create a Cupcake
Cardstock: Whisper White, Soft Suede, So Saffron, Regal Rose
Ink: Soft Suede, So Saffron, Regal Rose
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Color Coach, Dimensionals, Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon
