Birthday Card
This week was my husband's 30th birthday, and I wanted to make a special card for him. I knew that I wanted to make a pop up with three levels and put 30 candles in it. I wasn't really sure how to go about it, though. I searched the internet but could not find instructions for a pop up like I was picturing , so I ended up creating 3 "steps" for the inside of the card and glued them in. There are 5 candles on the top step, 10 on the second, and 15 on the 3rd, for a total of 30. The candles were cut using the celebrations cricut cartridge; the "30" on the inside was cut using the designer's calendar cartridge, and the balloons on the front were made with two stamps from Stampin Up's Playful Pieces stamp set. I could have done a better job on the front of the card, but I didn't have much time, since the inside took so long! (And the reason for the envelope in the picture is to cover up my personal message to him - I forgot to take a picture before I wrote in it!)
Thanks for looking!
